South-East London-based artist Mysie is continuing an accomplished run of singles that have seriously impressed us at TMR with her latest track, ‘joyride’. She blends beautifully produced guitar loops with crunchy, lo-fi percussion to create the perfect accompaniment for her voice. You can feel the passion behind the performance of her lyrics, which she explains are “about holding on and eventually letting go. All the lessons I've learned about myself during the ride never stop.” This is an artist who is fast developing an impressive and recognisable sound which will be in full show on her upcoming EP, also named joyride, due for release on May 13^th, 2022.
